Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's soccer team played to a 1-1 double overtime tie with Skyline Conference opponent Mount Saint Mary on Thursday afternoon. The Knights scored with just 7:14 remaining in regulation and neither team was able to break through in the overtime periods as the game ended in a draw.

The Rams (9-5-3, 6-0-1 Skyline) opened the scoring in the 12th minute as junior midfielder Meagan Murdocco (North Babylon, N.Y.) finished off a passing play from sophomore forward Emily Zeblisky (Northport, N.Y.) and senior midfielder Edasia Martinez (Brentwood, N.Y.) to take a 1-0 advantage.

Over the final 33:32 of the half, both teams combined for just three shots as Farmingdale State led 1-0 at the break.

The game remained 1-0 until 82:46 when Mount Saint Mary (7-8-1, 7-0-1 Skyline) senior midfielder Chrissy Cannella (Cornwall, N.Y.) scored off the cross in front from junior forward Gina Rivera (Washingtonville, N.Y.) to knot the game at 1-1.

The Knights tallied one more shot on goal in the final five minutes but FSC senior goalkeeper Daniella Ford (Elmont, N.Y.) made the save to send the game into overtime.

Murdocco tallied the only two shots in the first OT, but both sailed just high over the net.

In the second overtime, Zeblisky had the best chance for either team but was stopped by MSMC junior goalie Cyan Scott (Buena Park, Calif.) in the 101st minute.

Neither team tallied another shot on goal as the game ended in a 1-1 tie.

Ford made three saves for the Rams, while Scott finished with five saves for the Knights.

Farmingdale State next plays host to conference opponent Purchase on Saturday, October 26th at noon on Senior Day.
