Hartford, Conn. - The Farmingdale State women's soccer team traveled to Trinity (Conn.) College on Wednesday evening and lost in overtime, 2-1. The Rams fell to 1-1-1 on the season, while the Bantams earned a win in their season opener and are 1-0.

After Trinity started quickly with three shots on target in the first 5:53 of the game, the Rams quickly countered as senior defender Gianna DeCarlo (West Islip, N.Y.) set up junior midfielder Alexandra Johnson (Commack, N.Y.) for a goal just 1:19 later to take an early 1-0 advantage.

FSC held the 1-0 lead until the 32nd minute when Bantams senior midfielder Olga Koszykowska (New Britain, Conn.) scored off the feed from senior defender Rhone O'Hara (Woodstock, Conn.) to tie the game at 1-1.

Trinity outshot Farmingdale State, 9-4, in the first half with every shot taken on net. Rams' senior goalkeeper Daniella Ford (Elmont, N.Y.) tallied seven saves with one shot hitting the post.

In a scoreless second half, Trinity totaled seven shots and two corner kicks, while FSC recorded four shots and three corners.

In overtime, the Bantams controlled play as Ford had to make a pair of saves early in the period.

With 4:02 remaining in OT, O'Hara was able to gather a loose ball in the box off a Trinity corner kick and put it past Ford to lead the Bantams to the 2-1 win.

Ford stopped 13 shots in the loss, matching her career-high set against Trinity back in 2017.

FSC next travels to #6 Misericordia for a non-conference game on Sunday, September 8th at 2:00 p.m.
