Farmingdale State - 0, #1 Messiah - 0  F/2OT


Grantham, Penn. - In a non-conference women's soccer game at #1 Messiah, Farmingdale State and the Falcons ended in a 0-0 tie. The Rams now stand at 5-5-2 on the year, while Messiah holds a record of 10-0-2.

After a scoreless 90 minutes of regulation, Farmingdale State held the Falcons to only two shots in the first overtime. In the second OT, Messiah took three shots; however, none were on goal as the game ended in a 0-0 tie.

Freshman goalkeeper Karla Gomes (Carle Place, N.Y.) recorded a career-high 13 saves for the Rams.

Last season Messiah won 22 games and fell in the round of eight at the 2014 NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championships.

Farmingdale State next will host St. Joseph's-LI in a Skyline Conference game on Tuesday, October 13th at 7:00 p.m.
