- Sophomore defender named NSCAA All-East Region Third Team -
Farmingdale, N.Y. - Farmingdale State sophomore defender Andrea Kiefer (Centereach, N.Y.) was named to the 2012 NSCAA Division III Women's Soccer All-East Region Third Team.
The Rams starting defender, who was named the 2011 Skyline Conference Rookie of the Year, 2012 Skyline Defensive Player of the Year and 2012 Skyline Tournament MVP, adds the Third-Team All-Region selection to her accolades.
This past season, Kiefer started every game and anchored Farmingdale State's defense, which won their 6th straight Skyline Championship and made their 6th straight trip to the NCAA Tournament. Her team finished ranked second in the Skyline for both goals allowed (18) and an 0.85 goals against average. She was also responsible for holding the Skyline's top-3 offensive players scoreless.
