Rams End in Tie with Stockton

Galloway, N.J. - Farmingdale State (12-2-3) ended in a 1-1 tie with Richard Stockton (8-5-3) on Monday night in non-conference women's soccer action in Galloway, N.J. Rams senior Katrina Cerverizzo (Center Moriches, N.Y.) blasted a shot past the Stockton goalie from 40 yards out to tie the game with 30 seconds remaining and force the extra overtime periods.

Stockton's Jacque Becker scored in the 2nd minute, assisted by Kiera Hines, to take the 1-0 lead and there would be no scoring until the final minute of the game.

The Rams outshot Stockton 18-7 throughout, but could not convert and would end in a 1-1 tie after 110 minutes of play.

Stockton goalkeeper Sarah Hinkle made nine saves, while senior goalkeeper Amanda Maass (Mastic Beach, N.Y.) made two saves for Farmingdale State.

The Rams will travel to face Old Westbury for a Skyline game on Thursday, October 20th at 4:00 p.m.
