Monica is a 2006 graduate of Brentwood High School, where she was member of the Varsity team since 8th grade. Monica was given the Triple (V) awards during her sophomore and senior year for being a 3-sport Varsity athlete. She was a Scholar Athlete during her sophomore and junior year. She is the daughter of Jorge and Gladys Grisales.
She now plays midfield and defense for the Rams and was a member of the 2007 Skyline Championship team. She is also a member of the Rams women's lacrosse team.
