Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's soccer team improved to 9-8, 7-0 in the Skyline with a 1-0 Conference victory over Sage (6-6-2, 4-3-1) today in Farmingdale, N.Y. After a scoreless first half, the Rams would score the eventual game-winner in the 60th minute of play.

Freshman midfielder Shannon Reardon (North Babylon, N.Y./North Babylon) sent a ball through the middle and up to freshman forward Katrina Cerverizzo (Center Moriches, N.Y./Center Moriches), who raced past her defender and launched a shot from 12 yards out. The shot hit off the diving Sage goalies hands and off the inside post into the back of the net, for a 1-0 Farmingdale State lead.

The Rams controlled the game for the most part, leading 10-5 in shots and 5-0 on corner kicks. Freshman goalkeeper Amanda Maass (Mastic Beach, N.Y./William Floyd) made four saves for her sixth shutout of the season, as Farmingdale picks up their seventh straight victory.

Sage goalkeeper Meghan Welcome made five saves in defeat for the Gators.

The Rams have just two games remaining in regular season play, facing conference rival St. Joseph's, who is also undefeated in Skyline play, on Wednesday, October 29th at Diamond in the Pines in Coram, N.Y. at 3:00 p.m.

Farmingdale State will then host Bard College on Saturday, November 1st at 1:00 p.m. for the final home game. It will be Senior day for the departing seniors.
