Rams Win First Conference Game of the Season

Farmingdale State - 11, Yeshiva - 0

Farmingdale, N.Y. – Farmingdale State (4-4, 1-0 Skyline) defeated Yeshiva University (0-3, 0-1 Skyline) today, 11-0, in their first conference soccer game of the season. The Rams opened the scoring seven minutes into the game with an unassisted goal from sophomore forward Jennifer Jung (New Hyde Park, N.Y./Herricks) and held a 6-0 lead at halftime.

Farmingdale sophomore midfielder Amanda Biondi (West Islip, N.Y./West Islip) finished the day with one goal and four assists for a team leading six points, while sophomore forward Kristine Ostrem (West Islip, N.Y./West Islip) netted two goals and one assist for a five point day.

Sophomore goalkeeper Kimberly Sontag (Lynbrook, N.Y./Lynbrook) made two saves in the win. Yeshiva sophomore goalkeeper Tamar Kram (Newton, Mass./Maimonides) made 16 saves in defeat.

The Rams will travel to Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, N.Y. for another Skyline Conference game on Saturday, September 22nd at 6:00 p.m.
