Englewood, Fla. - The Farmingdale State women's lacrosse team played their final game at the Spring Fling down in Florida last night and fell to Williams College, 19-5. The Rams dropped to 0-5 on the season, while the Ephs improved to an even 3-3.

Williams started quickly as they tallied seven unanswered goals, including five free-position scores, over the first twelve minutes of the contest.

Trailing 9-0 with 5:16 remaining in the half, Rams freshman attack Julia Tuohy (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) set up junior attack Nicola Ingrassia (Deer Park, N.Y.) for a goal to cut the deficit to eight. After a goal by Ephs senior midfielder Caroline Hogan (Buffalo, N.Y.), FSC tallied back-to-back scores by midfielders Samantha Morra (Levittown, N.Y.) and Danielle Hall (Levittown, N.Y.) to close within seven, 10-3.

Leading 12-3 at the start of the second half, Williams would record six straight goals to take a commanding 18-3 lead with 19:36 remaining. Farmingdale State would only tally two goals the rest of the way as the Ephs earned the non-conference victory, 19-5.

Hogan, freshman midfielder Claire Fitzpatrick (Longmeadow, Mass.) and junior attack Suzanna Penikis (Swarthmore, Penn.) registered three goals each in the win for Williams.

FSC next travels to play Western Connecticut State in a non-conference game on Tuesday, March 27th at 5:00 p.m.
