Rams Cruise to Win over Dolphins

Farmingdale State - 10, Mount Saint Vincent - 2


Riverdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's lacrosse team improved to 3-7 overall, 2-0 in Skyline play with a 10-2 victory over the College of Mount Saint Vincent (0-8, 0-2) on Saturday afternoon.

The Rams opened the scoring with an unassisted goal by senior midfielder Kristen Ranaldo (Commack, N.Y.) just six seconds into the game for a 1-0 lead. Freshman midfielder Alexandra Sparrow (Levittown, N.Y.) connected on a pass from Ranaldo at the 28-minute mark to make it 2-0, while junior midfielder Brittany Rosino* (North Babylon, N.Y.) put Farmingdale State up by three on the next possession.

Sophomore attack Samantha Morra (Levittown, N.Y.), Ranaldo and junior attack Mia Johnson (Brentwood, N.Y.) each scored a goal over a 10-minute span and the Rams would hold a 6-0 advantage halfway through the first. Sparrow, freshman attack Jessica Spina (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) and Johnson added one more before halftime to give FSC a 9-0 lead at the break.

Farmingdale State scored one more in the second and would hold the Dolphins to just two goals en route to the 10-2 Skyline win.

The Rams will now travel to face Drew University in a non-conference matchup on Tuesday, April 12th at 4:00 p.m.
