Marzocca and Spagnoletta Receive All-Region Honors

- Two Rams Selected to Boardwalk Region First Team -


Grand Lake, Colo. - The IWLCA has honored 256 student-athletes in Division III with a selection to one of the Women's Lacrosse All-Regional teams for 2015.

Farmingdale State had two selections this season, both named to the Boardwalk Region First Team.

Senior midfielder Nicole Marzocca* (North Babylon, N.Y.) picks up her second career All-Region honor, after being named the 2015 Skyline Player of the Year. This season, she became the All-Time points (347), goals (199), and assists (148) leader at Farmingdale State, while also leaving FSC ranked 2nd All-Time for ground balls (133), draw controls (174) and caused turnovers (98).

Sophomore goalkeeper Krista Spagnoletta (West Islip, N.Y.) receives her first All-Region selection, after being named First Team All-Skyline and leading the conference with a .522 save percentage and 9.01 goals against average. Marzocca ranks 12th in the Nation for save percentage.

These student-athletes are now eligible for inclusion on the IWLCA All-American teams, which will be announced on Monday May 18. The IWLCA will honor the National All-Americans at the IWLCA All-American banquet on Saturday June 6, 2015 at the Radisson Hotel Valley Forge in King of Prussia, Pa.
