10 Players Score Goals as Rams Defeat Sage

Troy, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's lacrosse team had 10 different players score goals in today's 19-1 Skyline Conference victory at Sage. The Rams improved to 5-4 overall and 3-1 conference play, while the Gators dropped to 1-8, 1-3.

Farmingdale State scored six unanswered goals in the first 5:50 of action to take a quick 6-0 lead. After the Rams extended their lead to 9-0, the Gators scored the final goal of the half as FSC went into the break up 9-1.

The Rams outscored Sage 10-0 in the second half as they earned the 19-1 conference victory.

Senior midfielder Nicole Marzocca* (North Babylon, N.Y.) and junior midfielder Kristen Ranaldo (Commack, N.Y.) each finished with six points on two goals and four assists. Senior midfielder Christy Thoden* (Bayport, N.Y.) had two goals, two assists and 12 draw controls, while Kelly Geheran (Sayville, N.Y.), Alyssa Handel (Medford, N.Y.) Kristen Keller* (Westbury, N.Y.) and Emily Wolff (Middle Island, N.Y.) each scored twice and added an assist. Samantha Morra (Levittown, N.Y.) and Kristine Minogue (Miller Place, N.Y.) tallied two goals a piece and Jackie Kennedy (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) recorded a goal along with a game-high five assists.

Farmingdale State next will play host to Elmira in a non-conference game on Monday, April 13th at 5:00 p.m.
