Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's lacrosse team improved to 10-1 overall, 2-0 in Skyline play with a 13-3 victory over Maritime College (2-5, 0-2) today. In at times torrential downpours, the Rams had 13 players with a goal each and four players also added two assists.

Farmingdale State controlled the draws 13-5 and held Maritime to just eight shots, all in the second half.

The Rams had four players with three points (1 goal, 2 assists), including sophomore attack Janisha Sanchez (Brentwood, N.Y.), junior midfielder Nicole Marzocca (North Babylon, N.Y.), junior midfielder Christy Thoden (Bayport, N.Y.) and freshman attack Brittany Rosino (North Babylon, N.Y.). Thoden also totaled a game-high eight draw controls and three caused turnovers, while junior attack Kelly Geheran (Sayville, N.Y.) posted a game-high four caused turnovers, along with a goal, assist and two draw controls.

Maritime freshman midfielder Jane Quinn (Oakdale, N.Y.) scored two goals and sophomore midfielder Leanne Lavelle (New Windsor, N.Y.). Sophomore goalkeeper Meghin Paczkowski (Oceanside, N.Y.) made nine saves in defeat.

The Rams will now travel to face the College of Mount Saint Vincent on Wednesday, April 2nd at 5:00 p.m. at Tibbetts Brook Park in Yonkers, N.Y.
