Rams win 10th Straight with Victory at Sage

Farmingdale State - 18, The Sage Colleges - 2


Schenectday, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's lacrosse team won their 10th consecutive game after last night's 18-2 victory at The Sage Colleges. The Rams now stand at 13-2 overall and 9-0 in the conference, while the Gators fell to 4-10, 3-6.

Farmingdale State outscored Sage 10-0 in the first half and increased their lead to 16-0 with 17:12 left to play in the game. Each team scored two goals over the final 8:40 as the Rams earned the 18-2 win.

Sophomore midfielders Kelly Geheran (Sayville, N.Y.) and Jackie Kennedy (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) each scored two goals and had two assists, while freshman attack Jessica Romero (Brentwood, N.Y.) and sophomore attack Emily Wolff (Middle Island, N.Y.) each tallied two scores. Sophomore midfielder Christy Thoden (Bayport, N.Y.) had a game-high six points with two goals and four assists and senior attack Carly Schneider (Merrick, N.Y.) scored two goals and added one assist.

The Rams next will close out the regular season as they travel to Ramapo for a Skyline Conference game on Saturday, April 20th at 1:00 p.m.
