Farmingdale, N.Y. - After Montclair State tied the game with 17 seconds remaining, sophomore midfielder Christy Thoden (Bayport, N.Y.) won the draw control and scored the game-winning goal with eight seconds on the clock. The Rams improved to 11-2 overall and 8-0 in the Skyline Conference, while the Red Hawks fell to 11-3, 7-1.

Leading 10-6 to start the second half, Farmingdale State added scores by freshman attack Kimberly Pepe (Levittown, N.Y.) and sophomore midfielder Alyssa Handel (Medford, N.Y.) to open up a 12-6 advantage. The Rams held a 15-9 lead with 12:42 remaining, before six unanswered Montclair State goals tied the game at 15-15. Thoden's unassisted game-winning score with eight seconds left to play led Farmingdale State to a victory over the defending Skyline Conference Champions.
