Rams Roll Past Mount Saint Vincent

Farmingdale State - 16, Mount Saint Vincent - 2


Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's lacrosse team defeated Mount Saint Vincent, 16-2, in a Skyline Conference game this afternoon in Farmingdale, N.Y. The Rams improved to 6-2 overall and 4-0 in the Skyline, while the Dolphins dropped to 3-5, 1-3.

Farmingdale State tallied 13 goals in the first half and held Mount Saint Vincent scoreless to take a 13-0 lead into the break. The Rams scored three goals in the second half en route to the 16-2 conference victory.

Sophomore midfielder Christy Thoden (Bayport, N.Y.) scored a game-high three goals and added one assist, five draw controls, five ground balls and caused eight turnovers. Sophomore attack Nicole Marzocca (West Babylon, N.Y.) scored two goals and had four assists, while senior attack Carly Schneider (Merrick, N.Y.) and sophomore attack Emily Wolff (Middle Island, N.Y.) each had a pair of goals. Freshman attack Kimberly Pepe (Levittown, N.Y.) tallied two goals and sophomore midfielder Jackie Kennedy (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) had a goal and two assists for Farmingdale State.

The Rams next will host Purchase in a Skyline game on Saturday, March 30th at noon.
