Rams Win Eighth Straight on Senior Day

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's lacrosse team won their eighth straight game today, defeating The Sage Colleges, 20-0 in their final home game of the regular season. The Rams are now 12-1 overall, 8-0 in the Skyline, while the Gators fall to 1-12, 0-7 in conference play.

Today's game marked Senior Day for Emalee Ciampo (Plainview, N.Y.), Gina Ciaravino (Levittown, N.Y.), Courtney Cook (Deer Park, N.Y.) and Krystin Shand (Massapequa Park, N.Y.). These four young ladies have led the Rams to a program record 12 wins in 2012, claiming the top-seed for next week's Skyline Playoffs. Farmingdale State will host #4 Kean in the Semifinal round on Wednesday, April 25 at 4:00 p.m.

Freshman midfielder Christy Thoden (Bayport, N.Y.) set a school record with 18 draw controls today, increasing her school-record total this season to 102. Her 18 draw controls today breaks Kathy Waite's record of 12 set on April 24, 2010. 

Senior attack Krystin Shand broke two school records today, assists in a game and assists in a season. Her 14 assists posted today breaks former teammate Justine Rothar's record of 8, which was set on April 8, 2010. Her 53 total assists this season breaks Rothar's record of 48 set back in 2010.
