Patchogue, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's lacrosse team lead by two at the break and outscored St. Joseph's 5-1 in the second half en route to an 11-5 Skyline victory. The Rams improved to 8-1 overall and a perfect 4-0 in conference play.

Sophomore midfielder Jordyn Hasemann (Farmingdale, N.Y.) broke a 4-4 tie with 1:08 remaining in the first half as she scored an unassisted goal for Farmingdale State. Freshman midfielder Christy Thoden (Bayport, N.Y.) increased the Rams' lead to 6-4 with an unassisted score only 17 seconds later.

In the second half, Hasemann scored off the pass from senior attack Krystin Shand (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) to increase the lead to three, 7-4. Junior attack Carly Schneider (Merrick, N.Y.) and Thoden scored back-to-back goals as Farmingdale State opened up their largest lead of the game, 9-4, with 11:45 left to play. St. Joseph's (7-6, 5-2) would close within four on a free position goal by sophomore midfielder Karalyn Tetelman (Holbrook, N.Y.), but two late Rams scores by Schneider and Shand would cap off the 11-5 Skyline victory.

Schneider led Farmingdale State with three goals, while Shand and Hasemann each added two goals and an assist. Thoden had two goals and caused a team-high six turnovers, while freshman midfielder Andrea Kiefer (Centereach, N.Y.) had two points on a goal and an assist.

The Golden Eagles were led by freshman attack Lisa Terry (Manorville, N.Y.) who recorded a game-high four points.

Senior goalkeeper Courtney Cook (Deer Park, N.Y.) made seven saves in the victory, while junior goalie Erin O'Connor (Nesconset, N.Y.) recorded 12 saves in defeat.

The Rams next will host Ramapo in a Skyline Conference game on Thursday, April 12th at 4:00 p.m.
