Wesleyan Overpowers Rams in Non-Conference Game

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's lacrosse team fell 19-2 today in a non-conference game against Wesleyan University (3-1). The Rams fall to 1-2 overall with the loss.

The Cardinals led 8-1 at halftime, despite Farmingdale State's junior goalkeeper Courtney Cook (Deer Park, N.Y.) making 15 saves in the first half on 26 shots. Cook made seven more saves in the second, finishing with 22 saves for the day.

Wesleyan was led by freshman midfielder Haley Greenberg (Rye Brook, N.Y.) with four goals and two assists. Junior goalkeeper Maggie Drowica (Glen Head, N.Y.) made five saves in her 30 minutes of play for the win.

The Rams will face conference opponent Maritime College in Throggs Neck, N.Y. on Saturday, March 19th at 1:00 p.m.
