Boston, Mass. - The IWLCA has honored 224 student-athletes in Division III with a selection on one of the All-Regional teams for 2009. These athletes are now eligible for inclusion on the IWLCA/US Lacrosse All-American teams, which will be announced on May 22. The IWLCA and US Lacrosse will honor the National All-Americans at the IWLCA/US Lacrosse All-American banquet on June 13, 2009 at the Crowne Plaza Valley Forge in King of Prussia, Pa.

Farmingdale State had All-Regional players selected for the first time in school history. The Rams' Justine Rothar (Levittown, N.Y./Division Ave.) was named First Team All-Boardwalk Region, while Theresa Rokee (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst) and Courtney Cook (Deer Park, N.Y./Deer Park) were both named to the Second Team.

Rothar, a sophomore team captain and the 2009 Skyline Conference Player of the Year, broke the school-record for points in a season with 82, including 58 goals and 24 assists (also a school record). Leading the Rams to their first-ever Skyline Championship and an undefeated 7-0 record in conference play.

Rokee, a senior team captain and First Team All-Skyline selection, led the team in scoring with 61 goals, breaking her career-high, and also adding 11 assists for a total of 72 points. Rokee was the lone senior on the Championship squad and leaves the program as the All-Time leading scorer with 193 points (146 goals, 47 assists).

Cook, a freshman goalkeeper and the 2009 Skyline Conference Rookie of the Year, finished the season with a .565 save percentage, ranking her 4th in the Nation among Division III goalies. Cook also finished 9th nationally in Saves per Game (13.0), 27th for Total Saves (173.0) and 34th for Goals Against Average (10.23). She was named the Conference Tournament MVP as well, after finishing the playoffs with an average of 22.5 saves in two games.
