Farmingdale, N.Y. - Senior midfielder Theresa Rokee (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst) scored a career-high seven goals and had three assists, leading Farmingdale State to a 24-9 non-conference win over Centenary College this afternoon in Farmingdale, N.Y. The Rams improved to 8-3 on the season, while the Cyclones fell to 6-5.

Farmingdale held an 11-6 lead at halftime, behind five first half goals from Rokee. The Rams opened the second half with three goals within the first three minutes, extending the lead to eight. Farmingdale State would pull away, winning by 15 and enter the final regular season game against Kean University riding a three game winning streak.

Rokee set a school-record with her nine draw controls for the Rams. Freshman midfielder Shannon Reardon (North Babylon, N.Y./North Babylon) and sophomore defender Katelin McIsaac (Longwood, N.Y./Ridge) each scored four goals on seven shots and had one assist for Farmingdale. Junior midfielders Jennifer Jung (Tuscon, AZ/Herricks) and Kathy Waite (Levittown, N.Y./Division Ave.) each had three goals in the win. Jung led the team with four caused turnovers.

Centenary was led by senior midfielder Michelle Garone (West Hempstead, N.Y./West Hempstead) who scored four goals, had three ground balls and had a team-high five draw controls. Freshman attack Danielle Bay (Phillipsburgh, N.J./Phillipsburgh) scored two goals for the Cyclones.

Freshman goalkeeper Courtney Cook (Deer Park, N.Y./Deer Park) had eight saves in the win for the Rams, while junior goalie Leslie Pritchard (Port Byron, N.Y./Port Byron) had 10 saves in the defeat for Centenary.

Farmingdale State will host Kean in a Skyline Conference game on Senior Day next Saturday, April 25th at 1:00pm.
