Rokee and Cook Earn Skyline Player/Rookie of the Week Honors


Lawrenceville, N.J. - Farmingdale State senior midfielder Theresa Rokee (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst) earned Player of the Week honors, while freshman goalkeeper Courtney Cook (Deer Park, N.Y./Deer Park) was named Rookie of the Week for women's lacrosse on Monday, March 23rd.

Rokee recorded 10 points on nine goals and an assist in a 1-1 week for the Rams last week. Rokee tied her career high with six goals and also added an assist and three ground balls in the team’s 20-9 win over Western Connecticut. She added three goals and two ground balls as Farmingdale dropped a narrow 13-12 decision to Manhattanville.

Cook recorded 29 saves and a .580 save percentage in a 1-1 week last week. In a 20-9 win over Western Connecticut, Cook stopped 14 shots while allowing just eight goals. She then made 15 saves in a 13-12 loss to Manhattanville, finishing the week with a 10.50 goals against average.
