Skyline Releases Women's Lacrosse Report #6

- Rothar named Player of the Week, Williams named Rookie of the Week -

Clifton Park, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the sixth Women's Lacrosse report for the 2010 season on Monday, April 12th, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics.

Junior attack Justine Rothar (Levittown, N.Y./Division Ave.) was named Skyline Conference Player of the Week. In three games last week, Rothar totaled 12 goals and 19 assists for 31 points. She also added nine ground balls as the Rams extended their winning streak to four games. Rothar had at least five assists in each game. She had four goals and five assists against Mount Saint Vincent and then recorded six goals and eight assists against Mount Saint Mary. Rothar set Farmingdale State College records for assists in a game (8) and points in a single game (14) against Mount Saint Mary.

Freshman midfielder Emily Williams (Centerport, N.Y./Harborfields) was named Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week. Williams had 16 goals, an assist, 17 points, 10 ground balls and three draw controls in a 3-0 week for the Rams. Williams scored a team-high seven goals with seven ground balls against Mount Saint Vincent. She had five goals and an assist against Mount Saint Mary and four goals against Bard. For the season, Williams leads all conference players with 40 goals.
