Women's Lacrosse Season Recap


Farmingdale, N.Y. - The women's lacrosse team finished the season with a 4-11 record, making their second straight appearance in the Skyline Playoffs, where they faced the two-time defending conference Champs Montclair State.

Rams senior Janine Forman (North Massapequa, N.Y./Plainedge) finished with a career-high 234 saves, leading the Nation in total saves and 2nd in the Nation in saves per game. She graduates from Farmingdale with a total of 625 career saves, a program record.

Freshman Justine Rothar (Levittown, N.Y./Division Ave) was named Second Team All-Skyline after leading the team in scoring with 32 goals and 12 assists, while junior Theresa Rokee (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst) and freshman Alecia Fuschetto (Melville, N.Y./Hills East) both scored over 25 goals to finish 2nd and 3rd on the team in scoring. Freshman Chelsea Bjornsson (Levittown, N.Y./Division Ave) was solid on defense throughout the year, leading the team with 41 ground balls.
