Jung Leads Rams to 2nd Conference Victory

Farmingdale, N.Y. - Freshman midfielder Jennifer Jung (New Hyde Park, N.Y./Herricks) led the Farmingdale State women's lacrosse team to a 6-4 record overall and 2-3 in the conference with a 21-16 victory over Kean University (5-7, 1-3) today in Farmingdale, N.Y. Jung finished with seven goals and two assists in the win.

The Rams and Cougars would not go over a three goal deficit for most of the game as each team traded goals and the lead in the first half. Farmingdale held a 10-9 lead at the half and would add 11 goals in the second for the eventual 21-16 score. Junior goalkeeper Janine Forman (North Massapequa, N.Y./Plainedge) made 9 saves in goal for the Rams.

Sophomore midfielder Theresa Rokee (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst) posted six goals for the day, followed by four goals and three assists by senior attacker Natalie Budinich (East Northport, N.Y./Commack). Sophomore Christina Gagliardo (Dix Hills, N.Y./Holy Trinity), sophomore Nicole Brett (Babylon, N.Y./West Babylon), freshman Ashley Fallon (Northport, N.Y./Northport) and freshman Janelle Reif (New Hyde Park, N.Y./Herricks) all added one goal for Farmingdale State.
