Women's Lacrosse Falls at Molloy

Rockville Centre, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's lacrosse team fell to Division II Molloy College on Thursday night, April 10th, in a non-conference game played at John Darcy Field in Rockville Centre, N.Y. The Rams fall to 4-3 overall, while Molloy improved to 4-8 with the 21-9 victory.

Molloy jumped out to a 5-0 lead before Farmingdale notched their first goal of the night by senior attacker Natalie Budinich (East Northport, N.Y./Commack). The Rams next goal was scored by freshman midfielder Jennifer Jung (New Hyde Park, N.Y./Herricks) to cut the deficit to 8-2 with 18 minutes to play. Budinich added another before the half, followed by freshman defender Janelle Reif (New Hyde Park, N.Y./Herricks) and sophomore midfielder Theresa Rokee (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst) with two free-position shot goals. Farmingdale trailed 15-5 at the half and added four more goals in the second.

Rams junior goalkeeper Janine Forman (Massapequa, N.Y./Plainedge) made 14 saves in defeat. Budinich and Rokee notched three goals each, while Jung finished with two goals.

Farmingdale will travel to Purchase, N.Y. on Saturday, April 14th for a Skyline Conference game against Manhattanville College at 1:00 p.m.
