Janine Forman Named ECAC Goaltender of the Week

The ECAC is proud to honor 52 student-athletes with Player of the Week distinction for the week of April 2nd, 2007. Junior goaltender Janine Forman (North Massapequa, N.Y.) was named the Division III ECAC Metro Region Goaltender of the Week. Janine finished the Rams 1-1 week with 29 saves and held her opponents to just 9.50 goals scored per game on 65 shots faced. In the Rams win over St. Thomas Aquinas, she finished with 12 saves, including three big stops in the final two minutes of play to secure the 12-11 victory. Against Mount Saint Vincent, she had another huge game tallying 17 saves and stopping 6-of-8 free position attempts.

This is Janine's second time this season being named ECAC Goaltender of the Week.

-Each week of the Spring season, the ECAC honors student-athletes with Player of the Week Awards. In Baseball and Softball, a player and pitcher are chosen each week in Divisions I, II, and III. In Men's and Women's Lacrosse, a player and goaltender are chosen in Divisions II and III. In Men's and Women's Track and Field, a track athlete and field athlete are chosen in Divisions I, II, and III.--
