Second Win for Women's Lacrosse

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's lacrosse team picked up their second win of the season today with a 24-1 victory over Elms College in Farmingdale, N.Y. The Rams are now 2-0 overall, while the Blazers fall to 0-1. Sophomore Theresa Rokee (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst) finished with six goals and five assists for Farmingdale.

Freshman Jennifer Jung (New Hyde Park, N.Y./Herricks) had five goals and three assists for the Rams, while senior Gina Shore (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem) notched four goals and one assist. Sophomore Nicole Brett (Babylon, N.Y./West Babylon), sophomore Jessica Kramer (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst) and freshman Ashley Fallon (Northport, N.Y./Northport) each scored two goals apiece.

For Elms, junior Raemarie Josefiak (Springfield, Mass./Cathedral) had the lone goal. Sophomore goalkeeper Alicia Bobbie (Higganum, Conn./Haddam Killingworth) made 17 saves in defeat.

Farmingdale will travel to play St. Thomas Aquinas on Wednesday, March 28th at 3:30 p.m. The game will not be played on campus, it will be played at Joseph T. St. Lawrence Community, Health and Sports Center in Hillburn, N.Y.
