Mike Harrington, Director of Athletics at Farmingdale State, is pleased to announce that Carrie Bolduc has been named Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach at Farmingdale State. Bolduc comes from UMass Amherst, where she was the head coach for the past four years. During that time, she compiled an overall record of 29-41 and led the Minutewomen to a runner-up finish in the Atlantic 10 Tournament (2003), a runner-up finish in the ECAC Tournament (2003), and two A-10 Tournament Semifinal appearances. A 1999 graduate of Syracuse University with an arts education degree, Bolduc enjoyed a successful collegiate career at both Temple and Syracuse...

The women’s lacrosse team finished their first year as a Varsity program with a 2-9 record. The team received the Skyline Conference Sportsmanship Award and sophomore goalkeeper Janine Forman was named Second Team All-Skyline. The Skyline Conference released the 2006 All-Skyline Women's Lacrosse selections on Tuesday, May 2nd. The All-Conference selections are voted upon by the coaches in the conference and the votes are tallied to make up two teams and giving out four special awards. Farmingdale State received the Sportsmanship Award this season and sophomore goalkeeper Janine Forman (North Massapequa, NY/Plainedge) received Second Team honors. Janine was the saving force for the Rams' first-year program, making all the difference in every game for Farmingdale State and being named to the Skyline Honor Roll three times this season. Janine is seen three times on the NCAA Division III Individual-Game High List for Saves in a Game. In the Rams final game, she posted a career-high 24 saves against Kean University. She also posted 22 saves against Manhattanville and 22 against Molloy College. She finished the season with 180 saves (18 per game) and a .550 save percentage.

Union, NJ – (4/18/06) Kean University’s Tara Nardella (Old Bridge, N.J.) scored seven goals and Stephanie LoVallo (Old Bridge, N.J.) added five goals and three assists as the Cougars topped Farmingdale State University, 19-4 this evening in women’s Skyline Conference lacrosse action. Kean improved to 5-7 overall and 2-3 in conference play, while the Rams fell to 2-9 and 1-4 in conference play. The game was never close as the Cougars scored the first four goals of the game and opened up a 10-1 lead by halftime. For the Cougars, Tina Broomfield (Ewing, N.J.) added two goals and a assist, Concetta Valerio (Norristown, Pa.) finished with two goals, while Cherie McNellis (Magnolia, N.J.), Kelly Blackmon (Cinnaminson, N.J.) and Stephanie Cirino (Warminster, Pa.) each tallied one score. In goal, Lydia Pinto (Clark, N.J.) made seven saves. In the loss, Theresa Rokee (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) tallied three goals, while Jessica Kramer (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) scored once. The Rams opened the scoring with a goal from freshman Nicole Brett (Babylon, NY/West Babylon) 1:02 into the game, before Cyclones sophomore Nicole Becker (Randolph, NJ/Randolph) evened the score at 1-1 a minute later.
