Hurt Earns Spot on D3hoops.com National Team of the Week

Farmingdale, N.Y. - Farmingdale State sophomore guard Destiny Hurt (Long Beach, N.Y.) has earned her third honor this week as she has claimed a spot on the D3hoops.com National Team of the Week. D3hoops.com recognizes the top performers at each of the five positions from the previous week across the entire country.

Hurt averaged 27 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and five steals in two games last week. On Thursday against Sarah Lawrence, she set the school record for most made field goals in one game as she shot 17-for-26 from the field and tallied a career-high 36 points to go along with seven rebounds, four assists and five steals. On Saturday at Mount Saint Mary College, Hurt finished with 18 points, seven rebounds, four assists and five steals. 

In 13 games with the team this season, Hurt has tallied double-digit point totals in all but one contest. She also has recorded 20+ points on six separate occasions. 

The Farmingdale State women's basketball team currently sits in sixth place in the conference and holds the final playoff spot with a 6-8 record. FSC has four Skyline contests remaining before the First Round of the Playoffs which will be played on Tuesday, February 19th.
