FSC Selected Fifth in Women's Basketball Preseason Coaches Poll

New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference's 10 women's basketball head coaches have voted on their 2018-19 preseason poll and defending champion SUNY Old Westbury was selected to repeat after receiving eight first-place votes.

The Farmingdale State women's basketball team was chosen to finish in fifth place after receiving 55 votes. In 2017-18, the Rams were 15-12 (13-5 Skyline) and fell to Old Westbury in the semifinals of the playoffs.

This year FSC opens play with a home non-conference game on Thursday, November 15th at 6:00 p.m. versus Brooklyn College. In addition to the matchup against Brooklyn, the Rams will play six other non-conference games including back-to-back National Champion and #1 ranked Amherst College twice this season (November 17th & January 22nd). Amherst enters the year riding a 66-game winning streak. Farmingdale State begins Skyline Conference action on Tuesday, November 20th with a road contest at St. Joseph's-Brooklyn tipping off at 5:00 p.m.

The six-team Skyline Conference Women's Basketball Championship will take place on campus sites from Feb. 19-23.
