D3hoops.com recently released their 2017-18 women's basketball All-Region honorees and Farmingdale State senior forward Essence Casey (Huntington Station, N.Y.) was named to the All-Atlantic Region Third Team.
Casey appeared in every game this season and led the team in scoring (15.1 ppg) and rebounding (8.5 rpg). She also ranked second on the team in field goal percentage (.357), assists (83) and blocks (19) and was third for steals (64) and 3-point field goal percentage (.276). Casey finished second in the Skyline Conference for assist/turnover ratio (1.1), eighth in scoring, ninth in rebounding, 11th for field goal percentage and 12th in assists per game (3.1).
