Purchase, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's basketball team led 43-15 at halftime en route to the 82-36 conference victory at Purchase this afternoon. The Rams improved to 7-6 overall and 6-2 in the Skyline, while the Panthers dropped to 2-11, 1-7.

FSC led 8-3 midway through the first and used a 14-0 run, which included four 3-pointers, to go ahead, 22-3.

Leading 33-15 with 3:28 remaining in the second quarter, the Rams closed the half with 10 straight points to take a 43-15 advantage into the break. Junior guard Liz Durchhalter (Franklin Square, N.Y.) scored 12 first half points after shooting 4-for-5 from 3-point range.

The Panthers scored the first basket of the third quarter before sophomore forward AJ Smith (Freeport, N.Y.) answered with four straight points for the Rams to extend the lead to 47-17.

Leading 57-26 with 2:03 remaining in the third, FSC closed the quarter on a 6-0 run to open up a 37-point advantage. The Rams outscored Purchase 19-10 in the fourth to earn the 82-36 victory.

Junior guard Tyra Harrison (Baldwin, N.Y.) scored a team-high 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting, including 3-of-4 from behind the arc. Smith and Durchhalter finished the day with 14 and 12 points, respectively, for Farmingdale State.

Purchase's Kayla Ortiz (Brooklyn, N.Y.) scored 21 of the teams 36 points.

FSC next will host Mount Saint Vincent on Tuesday, January 17th at 6:00 p.m.
