Harrison Named to D3hoops.com Team of the Week

- Harrison earns Team of the Week honors for the second consecutive week -


The Team of the Week presented by Scoutware is D3hoops.com's weekly honor roll, in its 18th season of recognizing the top performance at each of the five positions from the previous week. Farmingdale State sophomore guard Tyra Harrison (Baldwin, N.Y.) earned D3hoops.com Team of the Week honors for the second consecutive week.

Tyra Harrison
Harrison scored a game-high 32 points and had eight assists in a win over St. Joseph's-Brooklyn and tallied a game-high 29 points, eight assists and eight steals in a victory against Purchase. Harrison averaged 30.5 points, eight assists and five steals per game in a 2-0 week for Farmingdale State. 

Aleena Hobbs
Hobbs averaged 24 points and 10 rebounds in two games this week, in which the Kohawks won at Carthage but lost to UW-Whitewater. She shot 51.4% from the floor and 63.6% from 3-point range in recording her second and third double-doubles of the year. Hobbs averaged 24.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game, along with 3.0 assists.

KC McConnell
McConnell became the first Pirate player in more than 20 years to post back-to-back games of 30 or more points. She had a career-high 35 against Cal Lutheran and added 30 in a win over Southwestern. She also added 7.0 rebounds and 3.5 steals in the two games. Despite a high shot volume, KC still shot 51 percent from the floor (21-for-41) and was 19-for-22 from the foul line.

Malory Christenson
Christenson eclipsed the 1,000 career point mark in a win vs. Grinnell, as part of a week in which she averaged 27.0 points and 13.5 rebounds over two games. She also had six assists and four blocks for the week.

Sam Hruz
Hruz led the 8-0 Spartans to a pair of victories this week including a 55-49 CAC win over Mary Washington. She started the week with her fourth double-double of the year with 12 points and a career-high tying 15 rebounds in the Spartans' non-conference win over Goucher. Hruz was 4-for-8 from the floor and 4-for-6 from the free throw line in the win. She also had three assists, a blocked shot and a steal. Against Mary Washington, Hruz recorded her fourth straight double-double and her fifth of the year as she had a game-high 18 points and 13 rebounds. She was a perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line while she tied a school-record with seven blocked shots in the win. Hruz also had a pair of steals in the Spartans' win. For the week, Hruz averaged 15 points and 14 rebounds per game while she also averaged 4.0 blocked shots, 1.5 assists, and 1.5 steals.
