#2 Amherst - 83, Farmingdale State - 23


Amherst, Mass. - The Farmingdale State women's basketball team traveled to #2 Amherst on Sunday and fell, 83-23. The Rams dropped to 1-3 on the year, while the Jeffs improved to 2-0.

Amherst started quickly as they opened up a 35-4 lead midway through the second quarter. The Jeffs took a 51-11 advantage into halftime after shooting 51% from the field at 47% from 3-point range in the first half.

Amherst outscored Farmingdale State 32-12 in the second half to earn the 83-23 non-conference win.

The Rams were led by sophomore guard Tyra Harrison's (Baldwin, N.Y.) 12 points.

The Jeffs used scoring by 11 different players highlighted by a game-high 15 points on 5-of-8 shooting all from behind the arc by junior guard Ali Doswell (Richmond, Va.).

Farmingdale State next will open Skyline Conference play when they host Yeshiva on Wednesday, December 2nd at 7:00 p.m.
