Farmingdale State - 76, Yeshiva - 50


Farmingdale, N.Y. - Farmingdale State defeated Yeshiva University today, 76-50, in non-conference women's basketball action. The Rams improved to 10-8 with the win, while the Maccabees dropped to 2-11.

Halfway through the first half, Farmingdale led 19-15 before scoring the next 11 points to make it 34-15. The Rams held a 20-point advantage at the break, 41-21. Junior guard Andrea Desvignes (Deer Park, N.Y.) led the half with 10 points, while senior guard Nicole Lanteri (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) totaled 7 points, 5 assists and four steals.

In the second, Farmingdale State held a 20+ point lead throughout. The Rams had three players finish in double figures, including Desvignes with 15 points, Lanteri with 11 points and sophomore guard Charnae Jenkins (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) with 11 points. Marissa Monaco (Bohemia, N.Y.) led the team with 10 rebounds, along with seven points and four assists.

For Yeshiva, senior guard Stephanie Greenberg (Cedarhurst, N.Y.) tallied a game-high 22 points, including six three-pointers, while junior guard Ester Kerzner (Houston, Texas) finished with 12 points and junior forward Rachel Mirsky (White Plains, N.Y.) totaled 10 points and eight boards. Sophomore forward Simee Rosner (Woodsburgh, N.Y.) pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds.

Farmingdale State will now travel to Mount Saint Vincent on Tuesday, February 3rd for a conference game at 7:00 p.m.
