Skyline Releases Winter Weekly Report #8

New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the Winter weekly report #8 on Monday, January 12th, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics for men's and women's basketball.

Men's Basketball Update (2-10, 0-5 Skyline) - Full Report

The men's basketball team dropped a pair of Skyline Conference games last week. The Rams fell at home to Maritime (66-58) and suffered a four-point loss at Mount Saint Mary (68-64).

Senior guard Justin Bailey (Jamaica, N.Y.) led Farmingdale State after averaging 13.0 points per game. Bailey scored a game-high 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting and added four rebounds against Mount Saint Mary.

This week FSC will travel to Sarah Lawrence on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. and host Purchase on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.

 

Women's Basketball Update (5-7, 1-0 Skyline) - Full Report

Farmingdale State posted a 1-1 mark on the week with a win at Sage and home loss to #3 Amherst.

Junior guard Andrea Desvignes (Deer Park, N.Y.) was named to the Skyline Conference Player of the Week Honor Roll. She scored a team-leading 10 points, had nine rebounds, four assists and three steals in the loss to Amherst and recorded a team-high 20 points (10-for-17), had nine rebounds and four assists in the 62-60 win at Sage.

This week the women's basketball team will play three home games: Thursday vs. Old Westbury @ 6:00 p.m., Friday vs. Brooklyn @ 6:00 p.m. and Saturday vs. Mount Saint Vincent @ 1:00 p.m.
