New York, N.Y. - Farmingdale State junior guard Camille Romero (Queens, N.Y.) has been named the 2013-14 Skyline Women's Basketball Player of the Year in voting conducted among the Conference's eight head coaches. Senior guard Nicky Young (Queens, N.Y.) earned First Team All-Conference honors this year.
Romero finished the regular season averaging a team-high 19.7 points with 55 assists and 50 steals. A native of Queens, N.Y., and two-time Player of the Week honoree, Romero has compiled 13 performances of 20 or more points and scored in double figures in 23 of the team's 24 regular-season contests. She is currently ranked 30th in the nation for points per game.
Young led the Rams in assists (116) and steals (64) and ranked second in both scoring (16.2 ppg) and rebounding (8.0 rpg). Young ranks 33rd in Division III for assists per game and 67th for steals per game.
FSC captured the Skyline regular season crown with a 13-1 record.
