New York, N.Y. - Each week the Skyline Conference highlights one student-athlete for their success on and off the field. This week the Skyline Spotlight features Farmingdale State's Christina Merrill.

2013-14 Season Highlights: Merrill has started every game to date this season…she is shooting a team-leading 50 percent from the field, including 46.9 percent from 3-point range…third on the team in scoring with an average of 8.4 points per game…tied her career-high with four 3-point field goals made on Jan. 4 in the Rams' 65-37 win over Medgar Evers…has compiled 15 steals through eight contests.
Career Highlights: Merrill, a three-sport athlete, has appeared in 58 career basketball games and helped lead the Rams to the 2013 Skyline Championship and NCAA berth…started 24 games and averaged 6.3 points in 2012-13…as a four-year starter and captain on the women's soccer team, Merrill was named All-Conference each season, including the 2010 Player of the Year…tabbed third-team NSCAA Division III All-East Region her sophomore season…ends her Farmingdale State career as the program's all-time leader in points (97) and assists (41)…helped lead FSC to the Skyline Championship in each of her four seasons …has played two seasons on the women's lacrosse team and scored two goals in 23 career games from her defensive position.
