Strong Second Half Leads King's Past Rams

King's (Pa.) - 79, Farmingdale State - 54


Huntingdon, Penn. - The Farmingdale State women's basketball team was outscored 49-29 in the second half as they fell 79-54 to King's College in the first game of the Juniata College Holiday Tournament.

Leading 30-25 at the break, the Lady Monarchs (4-4) opened the second half on a 14-4 run to extend their advantage to 44-29 with 11:51 remaining. King's would lead by as many as 28 late in the game en route to the 79-54 victory.

The Rams (3-4) were led by junior guard Nicky Young (Queens, N.Y.) who had a game-high 24 points, while junior forward Lushanta Savadel (Bellport, N.Y.) recorded 12 rebounds.

Senior guard Celia Rader (Scranton, Penn.) had a team-leading 15 points for the Lady Monarchs.

Farmingdale State will face John Jay in the consolation game this afternoon at 2:00 p.m.
