- Rams Earn #2 Seed -

The Farmingdale State women's basketball team (14-9, 12-2) is
seeded #2 for the 2012 Skyline Women’s Basketball
Championship. Defending champion Mount Saint Mary is the top seed
after capturing the regular season title with a 13-1 record.
The Knights (22-3) have won seven consecutive games and are led by
senior guard Jen Mocanu, the league’s leading scorer (17.4
ppg) and Most Valuable Player of the 2011 Championship.
Farmingdale State earned the No. 2 seed and handed Mount Saint Mary its lone defeat in Skyline play, 56-45, on January 28. The Rams will seek their second conference title in three seasons.
The four-team Championship commences on Thursday, Feb. 23, as Mount Saint Mary hosts No. 4 St. Joseph’s-L.I. (13-11/7-7), while Farmingdale State hosts third-seeded Old Westbury (18-7/11-3), which has won 13 of its last 14 contests.
