- Newman Named Player of the Week -
New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the 12th Women's Basketball report for the 2011-12 season this afternoon, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics. Junior guard Baytania Newman (Brooklyn, N.Y.) was named the Player of the Week.
Newman continues to spark the 1st place Rams, which have won five straight. After scoring a game-high 18 pts. vs. Purchase, she had game highs of 15 points and 13 rebounds vs. Sage. She averaged 16.5 points (65% FG), 8.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 3.5 steals.
