Louisville, Ky. - The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced the 384 student-athletes from 197 schools who comprise the 2022 NFCA Division III All-Region teams. Farmingdale State is one of just 15 schools in the Nation to have 5+ honorees. The Rams also had the most selections in Region III.
After being selected as the Skyline Conference's Pitcher of the Year for the second consecutive season, FSC senior Allie Stanya (Manorville, N.Y.) was named First Team All-Region.
Senior catcher Lyndsey Shaw (Sayville, N.Y.), junior first baseman Brooke Walker (Hampton Bays, N.Y.) and freshman utility/pitcher Ava Shorr (North Babylon, N.Y.) each earned a spot on the Second Team, while sophomore right fielder Jenna Giliberti (Bellmore, N.Y.) was tabbed Third Team All-Region.
Stanya led the conference with a 1.76 ERA this season, while ranking second in wins (15), third in strikeouts (93), and fourth for opposing batting average (.232).
Shaw, a two-time all-conference first-team selection, led the Skyline with her .908 slugging percentage and 1.424 OPS, while ranking second in triples (6) and home runs (9) from her leadoff spot in the lineup. Shaw ranked No. 7 nationally for slugging percentage.
Walker, who was named to the Regional All-Tournament Team, batted .447 (11th in Skyline) with a .641 slugging percentage and 1.137 OPS (both No. 8) from her cleanup spot in the order, and accounted for 58 runs on the campaign with 32 runs scored and 26 RBI. In the field, she ranked second in the conference with a .988 fielding percentage.
Shorr ranked third in the Skyline in ERA (1.99), opposing batting average (.225) and wins (13) in the circle, while batting .253 with six doubles, 13 runs and 23 RBI in the middle of the FSC lineup.
Giliberti, the team's No. 3 hitter, batted .427 on the season with 34 runs scored and 20 runs batted in. She finished tied for fourth in the conference with three triples, and eighth in both runs scored and hits (44).
