Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State softball team cruised past Mount Saint Vincent in a Skyline Conference doubleheader this afternoon. The Rams earned 11-0 and 12-0 run-rule victories and improved to 13-2 on the season.

The Rams (4-0 Skyline) scored 11 runs on 11 hits in game one.

Sophomore right fielder Jenna Giliberti (Bellmore, N.Y.) went 3-for-3 at the dish with an RBI and two runs scored, while senior catcher Lyndsey Shaw (Sayville, N.Y.) finished with two hits, a walk, three RBI's and three runs scored. Senior shortstop Jessica Clark (Seldon, N.Y.) had two hits and two runs scored and junior first baseman Brooke Walker (Hampton Bays, N.Y.) tallied a triple with three runs batted in.

Senior pitcher Allie Stanya (Manorville, N.Y.) picked up the win and improved to 7-0 on the year after tossing a complete game with eight strikeouts.

In game two, Farmingdale State matched their season-high with 12 runs scored, to go along with 14 hits.

Giliberti was a perfect 3-for-3 again and scored three runs with two runs batted in. Walker went 3-for-3 with an RBI and run scored, while sophomore third baseman Angelina Capuano (Sayville, N.Y.) had two hits, including a double, and two runs scored. Senior center fielder Priscilla Rivera (Brentwood, N.Y.) notched two hits and a run and Clark added a hit, walk, two stolen bases, RBI and run scored.

Freshman pitcher Ava Shorr (North Babylon, N.Y.) (W, 6-1) threw a complete game and struck out four batters to earn her sixth win of the season. Shorr also recorded a double with two RBI's in the victory.

The softball team will next travel to St. Joseph's-Long Island for a conference doubleheader tomorrow, Sunday, April 10th at noon.
