Farmingdale, N.Y. - Freshman pitcher Hope Zino (Bay Shore, N.Y./Bay Shore) threw four perfect innings en route to a complete game two-hit victory over Old Westbury, 5-0, her 15th win of the season, as the Rams advance to the Skyline Conference Softball Championship game on Sunday afternoon.

Zino now holds a 15-1 record this season after striking out seven batters and walking just one in her seventh shutout of the year.

Farmingdale got on the board with a double by freshman first baseman Aubrey Walker (West Babylon, N.Y./West Babylon) to bring in freshman centerfielder Kaitlin Keenan (West Islip, N.Y./West Islip) from first, a 1-0 Rams lead after three innings of play.

In the fourth, the Rams added three more runs with a three run homer from Keenan, for the 4-0 advantage.

The sixth inning called for a triple from senior right fielder Kristina Cirillo (Brentwood, N.Y./Brentwood), followed by a slap RBI single up the middle from junior second baseman Lauren Poplawski (Levittown, N.Y./Island Trees). Rams lead 5-0.

Farmingdale held the Panthers to one hit in the seventh and went on to victory for their first-ever trip to the Skyline Championship game. The Rams will face the winner of today's 2:00 p.m. game between #2 Old Westbury / #4 Mount Saint Mary at Noon on Sunday, May 3rd.
