FSC Finishes 3rd and 8th at ECAC Championship

Milton, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's and men's cross country teams traveled to Milton, N.Y. on Saturday, November 4th to compete in the ECAC Championships and finished third and eighth, respectively.

The women's team was led by sophomore Erin Lettieri (West Islip, N.Y.) who completed the 6k in 25.21.1 for third place individually and senior Nicole Franz (Huntington, N.Y.) who recorded a ninth place finish in 26.13.7. Rams sophomore's Erica Bavaro (West Islip, N.Y.), Alicia Shipsey (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) and Nicole Ferguson (Shirley, N.Y.) tallied 26th, 27th and 28th place finishes, respectively.

For the men's team, sophomore James O'Brien (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) earned 6th place out of 71 runners (27.49.8), while sophomore David Santa (Maspeth, N.Y.) placed 27th in a time of 29.13.5.

The cross country teams will now travel to Houghton College for the NCAA Division III Atlantic Regionals on Saturday, November 11th. More than 50 schools and 700 student-athletes will compete, with the top performers moving onto the NCAA Championship.
