Women Finish 3rd and Men Take 9th at Bard Invite

Annandale-on-Hudson, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's and women's cross country teams ran at the Bard College Invitational on Saturday, September 23rd. The women's team placed 3rd overall in the 5K course, while the men's team took 9th place in the 8K course.

For the women, sophomore Erin Lettieri (West Islip, N.Y.) led the Rams with a 2nd place individual finish out of 153 runners, finishing in 18:30.1, improving her career best at the Bard course by 1 minute and 45 seconds. Senior Nicole Franz (Huntington, N.Y.) took 5th place overall posting a time of 19:22.3, another career best for the course. Sophomore Nicole Ferguson (Shirley, N.Y.) placed 16th overall in 20:20.7.

On the men's side, sophomore James O'Brien (West Islip, N.Y.) led the FSC runners with a 3rd place individual finish with a 26:26.1, improving his career best at Bard by 42 seconds. Sophomore David Santa (Maspeth, N.Y.) placed 19th overall at 28:35.4.

Farmingdale State will now travel to the Hudson Valley Sportsdome for the MSMC Knight Invitational on Saturday, September 30th.
