Rams Place 7th and 8th at CCNY Invite

Bronx, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State College men's and women's cross country teams competed in the CCNY Invitational at Van Cortlandt Park on Sunday, October 11. The men placed 8th out of 17 teams for the 8K course (4.97 miles) and the women, who ran a 6K course (3.73 miles), placed 7th out of 19 teams.  

Leading the men's team was freshman Chris Mueller (Mineola, N.Y.) finishing in a time of 31:56 for a 36th place individual finish. He was followed by freshman Franklin Turcios (Westbury, N.Y.) coming in 44th place at 32:22. In third place for the men was senior Dan Barrett (Wantagh, N.Y.) in 46th place at 32:34.

The women's team was led by sophomore Nicole Franz (Huntington, N.Y.) who finished in 30th place individually and ran 27:16, which is a two-minute improvement from the same meet last year. Following Franz for the women's team was freshman Rudiana Anglade (North Babylon, N.Y.) in a time of 28:42 with a 45th place finish, while sophomore Megan Eiseman (Seaford, N.Y.) finished 61st and posted a time of 29:48.

Next up, the Rams will compete at Sunken Meadow State Park on Saturday, October 17th for the St. Joseph's Invitational.
