Bronx, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's and women's cross country teams traveled to Van Cortlandt Park for the Fordham Fiasco/Ed Joyce Memorial meet on Saturday. The men finished in seventh place out of 11, while the women placed 12th of 14 teams. The field featured Division I, II and III schools.

The men were led by junior Belony Borange (Valley Stream, N.Y.) who finished in 33rd place with a time of 33:25.71. Senior Dan Barrett (Wantagh, N.Y.) was the second finisher for Farmingdale State as he placed 43rd in 32:35.77, while freshman Franklin Turcios (Westbury, N.Y.) was 46th in 32:53.37.

Sophomore Nicole Franz (Huntington, N.Y.) led the women with a team-best 57th place finish in 24:09.17. Freshman Rudiana Anglado (North Babylon, N.Y.) (74th - 24:50.65) and sophomore Ellen Kim (Queens, N.Y.) (89th - 26:26.52) were the second and third finishers for the women.

The cross country teams next will compete at the LIU Post Invitational on Saturday, September 19th.
