Bonilla, Kashani Lead Rams at St. Joe's Invitational

Kings Park, N.Y. - Senior Melissa Bonilla (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) and freshman Jacob Kashani (Roslyn, N.Y.) each finished in 15th place individually for Farmingdale State at the St. Joseph's College Invitational at Sunken Meadow State Park. The women's team finished in seventh place and the men finished ninth at the race.

Bonilla had a team-best time of 22:30.3, while freshman Kristen Starke (Bellmore, N.Y.) placed 27th in 23:32.7. Sophomore Carina Bonilla (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) took 39th place overall with a time of 24:22.5 for the Rams.

Kashani led the men's team with a time of 30:59.1 and sophomore Dan Barrett (Wantagh, N.Y.) placed 29th in 32:01.9. Sophomore Patrick DiMaria (Commack, N.Y.) recorded a 54th place finish in 34:11.7.

The cross country teams next will travel to Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, N.Y. for the Skyline Conference Championship on Sunday, October 27th. The women's race will begin at 12:00 p.m. and the men will start at 1:00 p.m.
